All right, so it’s a zoo every day around our house… but homeschooling online actually went to the REAL Zoo for Home Educators day this past weekend!
It was really nice. If you live in the Akron, Ohio area - I really suggest checking out the Akron Zoo if you haven’t already. If you didn’t realize that they do a lot of fun things there for homeschool groups in class type settings, you will be pleasantly surprised.
My oldest son absolutely loves mazes. He’ll pull just the mazes out of his coloring books, then sit down to work on them. Thankfully, we have found a few printable mazes for kids that you can print right from your own PC. Here are a few of our favorite links:
If you’re anything like us, you like to have a few free homeschooling worksheets laying about for those days when you’re “brain dead” - and even on days you’re not. These worksheets can be done at the kitchen table, or anywhere else for that matter. You can keep a folder full of fun worksheets for the kids to use when you go out to dinner for instance, or you’re waiting in the doctors office - etc. Heck, keep a folder in the car - that way you’ll always have access to something instructive for the kiddos to do!
