We just ran across some fun cooking games for kids online that we thought we would share here.  Yes, we do a lot of cooking around the house, and making games out of it like our “pumpkin gooshing” in the previous post.  With kids, anything “gooshy” makes for great fun!  But my boys also like to get on the PC quite often, so we looked up some fun cooking games for kids that you can play right online.

OYunLar has some interesting games. I don’t care for a lot of the advertising, but websites have begun to get like TV with all the advertising everywhere.  Once you look past the advertising, you can find some fun cooking games for kids that all ages can enjoy.

For the “girls” there is DressUpGirl.net - which has some more cooking games for kids, and when they get tired of that, they can check out the rest of the site.  My boys think this site is a bit “too girlie” for them, but they do like some of the games.

WoowGames has a variety of cooking games for kids too.  You may find a couple duplicates of games on the sites linked above, because it seems to me that some are similar.  Course I’m not always the one playing them either! ;-)  I do help the boys find the games they are looking for, but sometimes it takes some digging to figure out where they found which game.

We also like real cool and interesting new food designs to make - like the Strawberry mice shown on the Family Fun Recipe pages. Every year at Christmas time, we make “Penguins” which is my Aunt Sandy’s absolute favorite holiday treat.  Here is what our penguins look like each year:

Penguins are completely made with Carrot slices, Olives and Cream Cheese.  The kids like to help assemble them with the fancy toothpicks, and everyone in the family looks forward to Penguins at Christmas time.

So, no need to only stick to cooking games for kids online - get them hands on in the kitchen too.  We’ll be adding some fun recipes and more online cooking games for kids as we find them.

Both of my boys love playing kids online games, probably because mom works on the PC when she can - so they want to see what all the “hubbub” is about. Branden has been on the computer since he was about a year old, just doing simple “keyboard bangers” - then moving into some things he could use the mouse on. He was quite confident by age 3-4 so he would help the other kids in his preschool with the computer when he could.

We thought it would be nice to add a list of friendly kids websites where they can play kids online games safely. Here are a few that my boys enjoy the most.
