One of our favorite places to check each day for free homeschooling goodies is The Homeschool Freebie of the Day! <- just click that link to see what they are giving away today. Things expire quickly if you are not paying attention, so this is a good site to have bookmarked. We signed up to their mailing list so we get notified of new links and freebies as they come out.
If you are looking for lesson plans, please check out HotChalk’s Lesson Plans Page! Hover your mouse over the “classroom” button at the top of the website and you will find a ton of teacher resources. You can also search for plans by grade level. Super place for coming up with fun new science experiments and more!
For older kids (and some who have the interest at a younger age) – Learner’s TV is a wonderful site full of material on biology, chemistry, physics, math, law, medical, history, literature and more! If your child is interested in Chemistry for example, you’ll find a wealth of information on this site! There are video lectures, courses, science animations, lecture notes, online tests, and lecture presentations – all for FREE!
For terrific math help you have to check out the Kahn Academy! We’ve been on this site a number of times, and the site is growing by leaps and bounds. Our oldest son was looking for some help with math, and this was the place to find it. Now includes Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Cosmology and Astronomy, Current Economics, Finance, History, SAT Preparation and much more. All free – and without a doubt a superb website!
Do you or your children need a little “memory boost” to help with studying this year? Mega Memory from Kevin Trudeau is available HERE for FREE from the internet archive!
If your kids get tired of reading, how about letting them listen to some Golden Age Classics? Kiddie Records Weekly has a bunch of them that you can listen to online, and many audio files for download as well. They are currently adding long playing record albums here.
Thanks!
