It’s Home School Time Again!

Yay, I’m so glad we finally got all of our paperwork turned into the public school system for this year! We’re currently waiting for our notification back from the superintendent – yee haa!

We’ve had a busy summer, and it’s already “back to school” time.  Wow, time sure passes quickly when you’re having fun. The boys are already giving me the “awww, do we HAVE to?” when I mention any kind of schoolwork. Come on now, seriously? At least they don’t have to hit the bus at 7am in the morning to head off for an 8 hour school day, right?

That means I’m going to have to start adding more information on this website – since summer vacation is coming to an end. It’s very difficult for me to keep up with updates on most days, so some posts may be very short. Then again, some may turn out to be extremely long on occasion. Just depends on the day and what all I have to say. :::poet and didn’t know it::: :)

I did run across something I thought was neat and wanted to add here. It is a set of audio files for The Chronicles of Narnia. They are free from the Ancient Faith Radio website. We didn’t read any of the books here, but did see one or two of the movies. Thinking about downloading the mp3 files to put on the ipod. The boys may enjoy listening to them. I might even listen to them while I clean house!

Another fun place we bookmarked is That Resource Site. They have a lot of free printable resources for homeschoolers and religious educators. We are not “overly religious” here, but my children do enjoy learning about religion. This site really has a lot to look at, so keep scrolling! I’ve already found a few fun and interesting things for the boys to check out.

Well, it’s been a long day… and it’s time for me to move on to other things. I’ll do my best to keep adding new things to our blog here, eventually I’ll change the theme, the graphics, and make it more interesting. Thanks for stopping by!
