This year I started looking for some Homeschool Software so that I could track my boys progress during the year. I also wanted to be able to do some things like build unit studies, lesson plans, schedule my week - etc. Also on the list of things I thought might be nice, was the ability to print out special awards and certificates to let the boys know that they were doing well in particular areas.
Well, I found and bought a homeschool software program called: Edu-Track. Let me tell you that this is a pretty disappointing program. First, it was costly - over $60.00 bucks for the software and shipping. It took a while to get here, and when it did I was excited to get started.
My kids can be entertained all day long with homeschool science projects at home. Just break out the trusty food coloring, some milk, a Q-tip, and the dish soap to show your kids a fascinating way to play with color. This project also deals with surface tension from the Marangoni effect, only in a much more colorful and fun way.
Since my oldest is a real “science buff” we have some homeschool science projects you can try at home. Science experiments can be easy, fascinating and fun. When Branden was 3, we did some simple things at home that just really turned him on to science for kids!
Here is the first experiment we did when Branden was three, that he STILL loves to this day - and it’s very simple. You’ll have all the materials you need right in the kitchen.
